Short Arm Optimizes for Access
Stay close to the fastener with the short arm L-key that allows you to work in tighter spaces and with greater control.
Compare to Regular L-keys
High Leverage
We designed the keys to be longer in the largest sizes to increase leverage where it matters.

Tight Fit with Fasteners
We precisely manufacture our hex key geometry on the large end of the applicable range, resulting in less slop in fasteners.
Two Measures of Tolerance Control
We measure our hex key tolerances in two ways, from point-to-point and side-to-side, to ensure the highest standards of dimensional accuracy and consistency.
20º Ball Angle Increases Access
Our keys implement a steep ball end angle that increases your ability to access fasteners while still maintaining sufficient strength.
Refined Edges
Tekton keys have slightly chamfered edges (except sizes that are too small to be chamfered: 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 0.050 in., 1/16 in., and 5/64 in.) and a smooth top face to optimize engagement with fasteners.
Materials and Finishes
Made From 8660 Steel
We make our keys with 8660 nickel chromium molybdenum steel that's heat-treated to 54-58 HRC to produce tools that are hard, but not brittle.
Corrosion-Resistant Finish
We coat all of our keys with a durable manganese phosphate finish that’s resistant to corrosion.
Clear Markings
With the exception of the smallest sizes, Tekton L-key sizes are marked in two ways—with a high-visibility laser marking and a stamped marking.
