Locking Mechanism
Push sockets or accessories onto the extension drive tang to lock them on. Pull down on the collar to release them.
Parts and Assembly
Maximum Torque
The locking extension’s mechanism allows sockets to be positively retained, but also makes it slightly less strong than a regular extension.
Strong 6140 and 8660 Steel
The locking extensions are made from 6140 chromium-vanadium steel with a 8660 nickel-chromium-molybdenum collar, and are chrome-plated for corrosion resistance.
Knurled Grips
Deep knurling provides grip for turning fasteners, and grooves provide grip for attaching and removing sockets and accessories.
*The 3 inch locking extensions are too short to include shaft knurling.
