Manufacturing Process Control Lead

Direct supervisor: Director of Manufacturing
As the Manufacturing Process Control Lead, you are responsible for ensuring each process is documented and followed throughout the Manufacturing department. You will gather information through conversation as well as inspecting and testing in-process products at various stages of manufacturing. You will verify production meets our intended designs and established expectations for quality and consistency. Then you will leverage your findings to maintain standardized work instructions, teach and hold the Manufacturing department accountable for following the standards, and ensure we have the correct methods in place to maintain our standards.
Responsibilities
- • Apply rigorous specifications and standards described in product and control plans
- • Gather, organize, and record in-process inspection results
- • Continuously refine and improve processes and procedures
- • Actively teach operators our quality standards and methods while holding them accountable for the quality of the parts they are making
- • Lead our understanding of how to prevent inspection failures and be the main point of contact between the Quality Control and Production teams

Baseline qualifications
- • Familiarity with ERP systems
- • Familiarity with testing and measuring equipment
- • Physical ability to perform detailed visual work, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and repeatedly lifting up to 40 pounds
- • Work experience in fulfillment, distribution, assembly, or quality control could be helpful
- • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Salary range
- $50,000 - $80,000
Location and hours
- This is a full-time salaried position located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
