- Information you give us: You may give us personal information to access features or areas of the website, such as registering for an online account, placing orders, requesting support, updating a cart, or subscribing to SMS text and email alerts. - Automatic information: When you visit our website, our servers log your public IP address, which is the publicly-available external address of the network that your device uses to access the internet. This is different from your private IP address, which is your device's specific address in your internal network and is not known to us. The website uses cookies to keep track of your cart so that you can shop without losing the cart contents–whether as a guest or under your account. Our fraud system uses additional cookies during checkout to process orders. The website uses a cookie and code to record interactions with the website that is used when diagnosing website issues. This information is only kept for 30 days. We do not use cookies to send you advertising or to allow others to send you advertising.

6. Privacy Notice for California Residents
This website is based and operated in Michigan. We do not have employees, property, or operations in California. By coming to our website, you are using it in accordance with Michigan and federal law. Your ability to use our website in another state and purchase from us for shipment to your state is not enough to establish jurisdiction over our company or the website in that state. However, for your reference, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) gives California residents certain types of control over the personal information companies collect about them. In summary, California residents, under this act, have the right to:
- Know: You can request details on the personal information that is collected and how it is used/shared
- Delete: You can request deletion of personal information (with some exceptions)
- Opt-Out: You can say no to the sale of your personal information (Tekton doesn’t sell your personal information anyway.)
- Correct: You can ask to correct inaccurate personal information
- Non-Discrimination: You should not be treated differently than others for exercising your rights.
You can ask a website company subject to California law to share details about:
- what personal info they’ve collected about you
- where they got that info
- why they collected or used it
- who they’ve shared it with
- what types of info they’ve sold or shared (if any)
You can expect to receive information from the past 12 months, and you can make this request free of charge up to twice a year. You may request that companies delete personal information they have collected from you and that they ask service providers to do the same. You may request that companies correct inaccurate information that they have about you. However, they may not always be able to fully or immediately comply with your request.
For example, a company may not be able to disclose certain sensitive personal information to you (though they may be able to tell you if it was collected), or they may need to keep some personal information to complete a transaction for you, to comply with legal process or a legal obligation such as a warranty, to detect and prevent fraud, or to protect against harm to their rights, property, or the safety of other users, customers, or the public.
Please note a company may not be able to complete a transaction for you without collecting or keeping certain personal information. In addition, the company needs personal information to offer you promotions or discounts.
To submit an inquiry about the CCPA to us, please email us at legalteam@tekton.com with “California Consumer Privacy Act Request” in the subject line, complete this form, or call us at 616-214-8887. We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days and respond to your request within 45 calendar days.
We may inform you that we will need up to 45 additional calendar days to address the items in your request (a total of 90 calendar days from your initial request).
We may need to verify that you are the person we have information about and may ask you to verify your identity.
7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time. You can link to it from the bottom of the website. If we change it, we’ll update the page. We may provide an email notification if we believe it is necessary. Your continued use of the website means you accept the changes.
